A New Life for Rochester
An amiable old woman who is a bit hard of hearing, Mrs. Fairfax assists Mr. Rochester isn the care and upkeep of Thornfield Hall. She occasionally sees the ghost of her former husband. Although she is at first opposed to Jane and Rochester's wedding, she eventually comes to love Jane and appreciate her kindness. In her free time, Mrs. Fairfax enjoys studying Scripture and spending time in prayer with the Lord.
